A fixed price quote and advice on the best time to cut

Before we start, we give you a fixed price quote, so you know exactly what to expect. We will also advise you on the best time of year to cut your hedge, so the plant is not damaged and local wildlife is protected.

We look after your hedge with care

A hedge does a lot for a garden. It might mark your boundary, add colour, give you privacy or shade, shelter the garden from the wind, or give wildlife somewhere to live. However you use and enjoy yours, we will treat it with respect.

Our gardeners are qualified and insured to work at height, and our ladders reach up to around 12 feet, which is more than enough for most hedges.

How often does a hedge need cutting?

It depends on the type of hedge, and we will give you advice to suit yours.

Faster-growing hedges

Privet, lonicera, hawthorn and beech usually need 3 to 4 cuts a year.

Slower-growing hedges

Yew and leylandii usually need 1 or 2 cuts a year.
